Phantom power is only required when microphones with active electronics such as condensor microphones OR Direct Input devices, also known as DI Boxes, with active electronics are connected to an input channel. 
This guide will discuss two options for assigning Phantom Power on the TouchMix. Option #1 will cover using the "+48V" button on the top panel of the mixer. Option #2 will cover the assignment from within a selected Input Channel's "Setup" page.


WARNING - Before turning Phantom Power on, temporarily mute all the outputs associated with that channel as there will be a loud pop at the channel once Phantom Power has been enabled.


OPTION #1 - Phantom Power Assignment from the "+48V" button on the top panel of the mixer.
1. Press the "+48V" button on the top panel of teh TouchMix to expose the Phantom Power assignment screen. Press the button under the desired channel number to enable Phantom Power for that channel. (The example shown has Input Channel 1 enabled)


2. Once your selections have been made, you can tap the "Home" button to navigate back to the Input Bank view to verify on the channel that Phantom Power has been enabled. (The example shown has Channel 1 enabled)

 

OPTION #2 - Phantom Power Assignment from within the Input Channel's "Setup" Page
1. Tap the "Home" button on the top panel of the mixer to get back to the view of the banks. Once there go ahead and tap the "Name" of the input channel that you would like to activate Phantom Power on.


2. Tap the "48V" button located in the center of the screen to enable Phantom Power for the selected channel.


3. Once enabled, tap the "Home" button on the top panel of the mixer to navigate back to the Input Bank.


4. Once back to the Bank view, you can then verify that Phantom Power has been enabled by looking at the channel
